Museum of the National Park Ranger
(To contact: 307-344-7353):

Just one mile north of Norris, and just after passing over the Gibbon River, is the turn off to the Museum of the National Park Ranger and Norris Campground. The museum is a wonderful stop to learn about the history of the park ranger profession. Friendly, helpful retired rangers provide for an enjoyable visit and learning experience. A short 2-minute video tells the story of the history of the park ranger and the cabin that is now the museum. The museum has a variety of artifacts. Parts of the original cabin structure are still intact including the large rock fireplace and some adjacent rooms. It is a worthwhile stop with some interesting history to be learned.
