Madison River Picnic Area

The picnic area is only feet from the river (has stone steps for direct access to the river), very close to 7-Mile Bridge, and across from a large open meadow backdropped with beautiful mountains to the south. It has 9 picnic tables, most of which are shaded by trees, a single restroom with wheelchair access, and a large trash dumpster for garbage disposal.

If you are fortunate enough to visit this area during the winter via over snow vehicles or cross-country skis, you might get a chance to view a bobcat. They have often been seen hunting ducks that winter along this stretch of river.
