This picnic area is set immediately off the main road and Lava Creek runs right next to the picnic sites. The creek here is very shallow and the children of picnicking families are often seen wading and playing in the water. There are only 5 tables, each partly shaded. There is a single restroom, trash dumpster, recycle canisters, and parking for about a dozen vehicles.
